What are vending misers?
Vending misers are motion sensors that power down vending machines when they are not in use. The misers allow more time in between compressors cycles, reducing energy use between 30 and 60% depending on location. Green Campus has installed vending misers on 10 machines across campus and monitors their energy consumption on a regular basis.
